The Team:

Join our engineering team and help make an impact on Sojern’s bottom line. Each engineer in the team owns highly visible revenue producing features of our Sojern Travel Platform.
You will be part of a very motivated and high performing full stack engineering team who are highly skilled in web technologies and can effortlessly work across the entire stack of our product. You will collaborate with other engineering teams and a host of cross functional groups such as Product, SRE and Ops teams to deliver high performance and a sleek UI portal to support the entire Campaign Lifecycle Management.

Your Role:
We are looking for a SW Intern in our Dublin, Ireland office to work on the Campaign Management related projects. An ideal candidate will be someone with excellent academic achievements and has hands-on experience developing Software projects during their school years. And as part of these projects, you have demonstrated you are an effective communicator and a strong collaborator.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the domain and the tech stack of Sojern

  • Work with your team and contribute to the development of new software features

  • Discover and troubleshoot issues with existing architecture and code

  • Polish and improve existing UX/UI

  • Actively participate in code/design reviews

  • Effectively communicate to teams

What you bring to the table:

  • Excellent academic record and standing in your college/university

  • Basic experience on backend development using languages such as Java, .Net C#, Python, Golang etc.

  • Exposure to modern Javascript frameworks (ReactJS, AngularJS, Vue.js) - ReactJS is a plus

  • Basic experience working on both SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Understanding of asynchronous request handling and messaging systems

  • Experience with git version control system

  • Proficiency in English

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to cloud deployments such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

  • Familiarity with GraphQL APIs
